Much Needed Quality Time

Another week, another month, and yet, I can’t believe it’s May already! With each day blurring into the next, Brad and I feel as though our lives have been unexpectedly set into fast-forward, leaving us with little time to spend with each other. For all of who are veterans in the realm of marriage, you’re probably aware at how overbearing stress may affect the relationship between a young married couple.

As we press onward through this season in our life, we are taking initiative to seek God as He continues to unveil to us the aspects of unconditional love. Patience and selfless sacrifices for one another have become one of the more difficult but most valuable lessons we are learning, along with striving to keep a healthy balance in every area of our daily lives.

Be well balanced, be vigilant and cautious at all times, for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

1 Peter 5:8

Not only does this verse remind us that the devil is always on the hunt to take advantage of us, but it forewarns us that he knows exactly when we are at our weakest. For us, opposite schedules has been the story of our life these past few months, resulting in a constant struggle to remain in a godly balance with each other.

This past weekend we felt lead to take advantage of the beautiful weather and finally enjoy some much needed quality time with each other!

And how refreshing it was….
