As many of you can relate, Brad and I have been extremely busy over the past few weeks. Between work, school, and moving, we are finally beginning to feel at home once again. Just recently, Brad and I moved back to The Woodlands, which has become a blessing in disguise. It is so nice to be close to family once again and of course, not having to commute, most certainly makes the move worthwhile.
More excitingly, I am proud to announce that Brad has been promoted to General Manager of Chick-fil-A in Magnolia! More than ever, I can see God working in Brad’s life and as a wife, I couldn’t be more inspired! Shortly after meeting Brad, it became very obvious that God had blessed him with the gift of serving others. Brad is always looking for opportunities to help someone in any way that he can, which gives reason to why he wakes up each morning eager to go to work and performs his duties with such passion.
Thankfully, I am more than halfway finished with my student teaching semester. Currently I am teaching a fourth grade class which has been a complete culture shock coming from working with my former first grade group. As was also true with them, it seems a lot of the students enrolled in these two particular schools do not have the support at home that I am used to. In fact, many of these students have already experienced dangerous situations and unhealthy living conditions at such a young age. Because of what I’ve seen, I am definitely going to walk away from this experience with a much deeper understanding of the pain and suffering that is filling our society each day. With only five weeks left with these children, I hope to show my students the love of Christ as I interact with them on a daily basis. I can only pray continuously that each one would come to know Him intimately in this life. Because no matter what each and every one of us is experiencing today, there is always a tomorrow in which God calls us to be moved by Him.
